My usual style alternates between #GIRLBOSS and Glam, but sometimes I like to change it up in my off-duty stlye and go casual. Contrary to popular belief, I do wear jeans! As part of my recent collaboration with Forever 21, I chose 3 looks to play with...and today's look is all about being cool and casual in a cropped top and ripped jeans!

This blush pink crochet crop top is so delicate! But be warned! It is totally see-through, which is a little daunting at first, but once you commit to it, you can totally rock the crop! If you can't commit, just throw a tank top underneath and call it a day! Ripped jeans are everywhere right now, so I've been searching for a good plus size option...and here it is! These distressed jeans fit like a glove and have strategic rips placed up and down the front of legs. And can we talk about these shoes for a minute? I honestly did not expect to love them as much as I did...but they are the perfect shade of pink and look great with a casual outfit as well as a nice dress.

It's nearly sundress weather and I'm already packing them in to my closet! This City Chic Riviera Handkerchief Hem Sundress has me longing for a day out on a sailboat or at a summer barbecue. I know, I know...I'm not a huge fan of the handkerchief hem trend that we've been having in plus sizes for about 3 years now, but it works on this dress because it's breezy and light and catches the wind just right.

The French blue and white abstract pattern of this sundress is fresh and can be dressed up or down with just a switch in your shoes. Simple neckline and adjustable straps...simple, easy, and stylish. I found mine at my local Nordstrom, but City Chic is in several stores and online marketplaces, so I'm sure you'll be able to find it or another fabulous sundress to add to your spring/summer wardrobe!

I told you this tomato red/orange was going to be my signature color! It's gorgeous and electric, and I cannot get enough of it this season! This Forever 21 Plus Size Wrap Front Maxi Dress* in this color is definitely a show-stopper!

What do I love about this plus size wrap dress from Forever 21 Plus?? Well, of course the color is to die for...and apparently, I'm not the only one to feel that way, since it's already sold out. :( But this dress is also available in a classic black, bright blue, and gorgeous grey. 

Also, the design of this dress solves one of my biggest pet peeves with maxi dresses -- which is they never show enough leg! Even when a dress or skirt has a slit, there's usually so much fabric that you have to really work to be able to flash a little leg...but this plus size wrap front dress is designed with a sort of tulip front wrap -- which is guaranteed to show off your gams! 

The third thing I love about this dress is that it's made from a light tshirt material...so even though it looks like a million bucks, it's still a little casual, comfortable and laid back.

If you follow me on Instagram, you might have seen pictures from my recent trip to Iceland (if you don't, follow me here!). I completely fell in love with this country and it's temperamental beauty (which I can totally relate to). A highlight of my trip included a morning at the Blue Lagoon Geothermal Spa, right outside of Reykjavik. It's one of the 25 Wonders of the World and it is breathtaking and magical! So what do you wear to one of the most beautiful places in the world? A fabulous swimsuit with tiered ruffles in shades of blue from Avenue Plus*!

From the mystical steam to the bright blue water -- I felt like I was in another world! The water in the Blue Lagoon is blue from the Silica, Algae and Minerals that exist naturally in this geothermal pool. The water is about 100 degrees -- so warm and delightful!

This one piece plus size swimsuit from the Avenue is great for traveling! It's colorful, flattering and modest -- and so cute! I felt secure and wasn't fidgeting with it like I end up doing with a lot of swimsuits. I did order one size up (a 20 instead of an 18) -- since this year, swimsuits seem to be running small (or I might be up a few pounds!), but just to be safe, I would definitely recommend ordering a size up.

Rompers (or playsuits in the UK) are just the shorter, more playful version of jumpsuits...and I have no idea why I've avoided them this long! I'm absolutely loving this khaki color Simply Be Wrap Playsuit! It's cute and (gasp!) comfortable too.

This plus size romper from Simply Be comes in this gray-green khaki color (in real life, it's a little more green and less gray). The Tencel fabric is so light and smooth -- it feels amazing against your skin. The wrap front has a modesty tack which ensures that the front wrap doesn't spill open unexpectedly. And the easy belt and large pockets give this cute playsuit more of a utility edge. I chose to glam it up a bit -- going with gold accessories and an animal print clutch...but this can easily be reworked for a casual night out or for an upcoming music festival!

 A quick note on sizing -- I am usually an 18/20, but have a full belly...so I ordered a US20, which is a UK 24 in order to ensure that I had plenty of room in the belly area. So, if you're a full apple shape like me, you might want to size up!

OK ok, I know it's a lot to promise that this is the best cocktail dress for plus size ladies, but I love it so much, I have it in 2 colors (this one is for sale in my online store stylepluscurves.bigcartel.com -->> Shop it here). Tadashi Shoji is an American-based Japanese designer who specializes in evening wear, and -- as you might remember -- was one of the only designers "willing" to dress plus size celebrities Octavia Spencer and Melissa McCarthy before it became a little trendier to do so! I discovered this Tadashi Shoji Plus Size Lace Sheath Dress at Nordstrom, where I completely fell in love with this short lace plus size cocktail dress. I put it on, and I swear there were rainbows and fireworks and birds singing. It comes in 7 colors, and I have it in the deep amethyst purple and this amazing muted teal color, called starry night.

With scalloped lace edges at the neckline and hemline, a deep V in both the front and the back, the design of this dress is extremely feminine and flattering. It's elegant, sexy and appropriate...how often do you get to say that about one cocktail dress?

Not only is it officially spring...but with it comes one of my favorite non-event events: the Kentucky Derby! Why do I love it? Well, truly only one reason: the hats! I love that for one day out of the year, people are forced to wear hats! I wish there were more hat-situations in my life! But until I move to England, I will have to be satisfied with my Kentucky Derby Hat Day! Now, a bit about my outfit...I've been a Fullbeauty brand ambassador for several months now, and I love that they keep adding new plus size brands to their line up! Apparently, I cannot get enough plus size red dresses this season! Red is just so bright and bold and it truly stands out in a sea of LBDs. Pink and white is one of my favorite color combos for summer! It's so fresh and crisp...and magenta is nearly universally flattering. I'm loving this extreme hi-low twist front magenta top and bright white cropped jeggings and other awesome finds from Yours Clothing, which is a great, affordable plus size clothing retailer out of the UK.

 Look how cute this top is! It's so unique with the twist in the front and the extreme dip in the back. It's an easy throw-over design and has 3/4 sleeves which is great for chilly air conditioned buildings. And the extreme hi-low proportions just work perfectly with a nice slim cut white denim jegging. Many plus size jeggings are cut too wide and end up looking a little frumpy, but this jeggings hugged my legs just right and had the perfect amount of stretch. I also love the easy pull-on design instead of zipper/button combo. I added some pops of blue and yellow and voila! An adorable plus size outfit to take me throughout the summer!

Great summer style is all about easy outfits that can work overtime when you where them to street festivals, brunch outings, shopping trips and everything in between! This plus size tunic dress is so light and has great air flow (something that gets very important as the weather heats up! It's on the shorter side, so if you're tall like me but don't want to show so much leg, just throw on some black leggings and some flats and you'll look adorable. 

Things I love about this dress: 1) the strategically placed black colorblocking at the center and sides is very flattering 2) The print is tropical and inviting and makes me want to travel to far-flung locales and 3) It's light and easy to wear, so you can throw it on when you are running late and you'll look pulled together and fabulous.

Oh, and did I mention the reversible PU Shopper Bag? I love the burnt orange side! It's super practical and fits all of your impulse buys when you're wandering around the shops this summer!

It almost Memorial Day...and that means -- get out your gorgeous white dresses! Although I'm a big believer in breaking fashion "rules" and don't really abide by the "no-white-after-Labor-Day," I can't deny that Memorial Day feels like summer and summer means white! This white plus size dress from Jessica London on Fullbeauty.com is the perfect dress to wear to welcome summer!  The white eyelet is so crisp and the sleeveless shape with a collar and a tie belt feels preppy and not too sweet.

The key to a great plus size white dress is quality fabric. It can't be too see through and it needs some structure. That's what I love about this Jessica London dress. The eyelet fabric has some structure and is weighty enough so that when placed over the white cotton lining, you can't see through it. I bought this dress as a "maybe" -- because I thought the midi length might look a little frumpy and shapeless. But I'm SO glad I got it...the length hits me just below the knee and flares out a bit. The sleeveless shirtdress silhouette looks immaculate when rendered in white eyelet. The tie belt pulls it in and gives me a relaxed shape. Overall, it's a great dress and I'll definitely be wearing it throughout the summer!

I wore this plus size bikini during my recent trip to Iceland when I visited the Fontana Geothermal Baths as part of my "Warm Baths, Cool Lights" Tour that I booked with IcelandAir. The scenery was spectacular, and the chance to experience the geothermal baths like the locals was amazing. And OMG if you go, you have to taste the bread that's made there -- they bake it in underground ovens with the natural heat from the earth. AMAZING.

The nautical print is a mix of anchors and steering wheels which has me wanting to set sail -- even though I get horrible motion sickness! And the cap sleeves are big enough for my arms, without being too big or gaping. I'm wearing a size 3X, since their dresses run a little snug -- especially if you have a large bust. I'm in between a 2X/3X, so I opted to have a little more room. Bring on the boat parties! In a dress this cute, I am tempted to forget that I get motion sick and will sail away into the sunset!

It's Flashback Friday, and I stumbled across this ridiculously cool shoot from over a year ago -- never-posted! TWISTED! Every time I order a new dress from Kiyonna, I'm convinced that it can't get any better than the one I had before...but IT DOES!! One of the newest styles is this Tantalizing Twist plus size dress. It's got the great bust line that Kiyonna is known for (making the gals look fab!) and the bare shoulder cut outs that are having a moment right now. Of course, the waist line cinches in the silhouette while the fabulous draping on the skirt hangs just perfectly. This dress was made specifically to show off a curvy body. And can we talk about this dreamy vintage blue color??

I have always been a little wary of the yellow and black color scheme...since it puts me in mind of bumble bees and Stryper, the spandex-clad christian glam rock band from the 80s (don't know who they are? click here.) But the time has come to bring out the gold and black in all its glory! When I found this gorgeous marigold lace peplum top from Jessica London on fullbeauty.com, I knew that these short black shorts from Torrid would be the perfect pairing. The marigold yellow is so bright and cheery and the same colored lace overlay is so ladylike! When you pair it with some flirty black short shorts, you've got a cute, summer ready and sunshine-y outfit!
